How costs compare

Why dental treatment abroad in our network is more affordable

Dental treatment in our network is often substantially cheaper than equivalent care in the UK, the Netherlands, or Germany. This is what modern dental treatment abroad looks like in Europe: comparable quality at a fraction of the price. Most partner hospitals and clinics follow international clinical standards and use the same materials and equipment found in EU clinics. The gap comes from lower operational costs and favourable exchange rates, not from cheaper materials or less experienced clinicians. For now most patients travel to our partners in Türkiye for dental tourism, with more European countries joining the network.

What to expect

What to expect during your dental visit abroad

Most dental trips follow a similar pattern. A single implant or simple crown can be done in a few days. Larger work such as All-on-4 or a full smile design takes longer. Here's roughly what to plan for.

Days 1-2 — Arrival and assessment

You meet the dental team, get fresh X-rays or a CBCT scan, and review the final treatment plan in person.

Days 3-7 — Treatment

Implants are placed, temporary teeth are fitted, or veneers are bonded, depending on what you're having done.

Days 8-10 — Recovery check and departure

A final post-treatment check before you fly home, with detailed aftercare instructions and contact details for any questions later.

Months 3-6 — Final restoration (for implants)

Most implant work needs a second trip three to six months later, once the implants have integrated, for the final crowns or bridges. Some patients prefer to handle this remotely with a local dentist and send their notes back to Rehealth.

Before-and-after photos from our network are coming soon, as we collect consented patient cases. Until then, your hospital or clinic can share examples of their previous work directly during your planning call.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about dental treatment abroad

What's the difference between a free planning call and a paid second opinion?

The free planning call connects you with the hospital or clinic's team to discuss treatment, costs, and travel logistics. It is not a medical consultation. A paid second opinion connects you with a licensed dentist who reviews your case and gives you a structured medical perspective on your diagnosis and options.

Is dental treatment abroad safe?

Yes, when you choose a verified clinic. Every hospital, clinic, and specialist in our network is reviewed and verified by our medical advisory board before joining. Partners follow international clinical standards, sterilisation protocols, and use materials and equipment found in EU clinics. The risks of dental treatment abroad come from booking through unverified channels, not from the destination itself. Most current patients travel to our partners in Türkiye, where dental tourism standards are well established.

What happens if something goes wrong after I return home?

Your dentist and care team stay reachable through the Rehealth app. For routine concerns, they can advise remotely. For anything more serious, the hospital or clinic where you were treated takes responsibility for the follow-up care, while Rehealth helps you track the process through the app. Treatment guarantees and warranties continue to apply after you return.

How long do I need to stay abroad for dental treatment?

For a single dental implant, plan for about 5 to 7 days on site. For All-on-4 or a full smile design, plan 8 to 10 days. Implant-based treatments may need a return visit 3 to 6 months later for the final restoration. Many patients travelling to our partner clinics — most often in Türkiye — combine the trip with a few days of recovery and sightseeing, which is part of why dental tourism has become popular among European patients.

Will my insurance cover any of this?

Insurance coverage varies significantly by country and policy. The clearest answer will come directly from your insurer, so contact them before you travel to confirm what they will and will not reimburse for treatment abroad. The hospital or clinic you're working with can also walk you through how invoices are issued and what documentation insurers typically request, so you know what to expect.

How do I pay?

Payment is made directly to the hospital or clinic, usually by card or bank transfer at the time of treatment. Some partners accept partial payment up front and the rest after completion. Your planning call covers payment options in detail, before you commit to anything.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, and we encourage it for longer treatments. Bringing a partner, family member, or friend is straightforward. They're not part of the treatment cost, but the coordinator can help with accommodation suggestions for both of you.

What about the language barrier?

Every dentist and care coordinator in our network speaks at least two languages. Each hospital and clinic profile lists the languages they offer, and you can filter by language when choosing your hospital or clinic.

How do you select your hospitals and clinics?

Every potential partner is reviewed by our medical advisory board before joining the network. The review covers their clinical credentials, the facilities themselves, the experience of their dental teams, and their track record on outcomes and patient communication.

Is there a guarantee on the treatment?

Most implants come with a manufacturer warranty (commonly 10 years on the implant itself, and lifetime on some components). Crowns and veneers typically carry a 5-year warranty. Your specific guarantees are confirmed in writing by the hospital or clinic before treatment starts.

What if I'm not ready to commit yet?

That's fine. The planning call is free and carries no obligation. Many patients book a call months before they actually plan to travel, just to understand their options and budget. You can come back any time.

Can I get a quote without committing to anything?

Yes. The whole point of the planning call is to give you a clear cost estimate and treatment plan with no commitment. You decide whether to move forward after seeing your options.
